The Tree and Me

 

The tree has its roots firmly implanted in the ground,

branches aspiring to the heavens, with a blossom crown.

It doesn’t try to control its healthy growth,

it just grows in maturity, fulfilling its divine oath.

What can I learn from this wonderful tree,

is that I can just BE, and then I’ll be joyfully FREE!

The Way Of The Enlightened Warrior

The Way Of The Enlightened Warrior

In their stance, they are as solid as the largest mountain with the broadest base. 

Unprovoked, they are the calm, still water taking on the beauty which surrounds them. 

In movement, they are graceful and fluid like lightning. In power, they overwhelm like a tornado.

They rely not on strength but on the natural power inherent within. 

In response to overwhelming odds against they retire to await their time. 

In a position of power, they do not forget to share their good fortune, safe in their knowledge of life!

Moonshine

 

The bright moon casts its silvery glow,

creating illusive shadows, my imagination, I know.

Yet if I allowed imagination's fear machine to grip,

then I would be helpless at my courage slip.

I laugh out loud at this silly me,

then fear's hand slips and I am free.
