Why Is Life So Hard by John/Beyond The Illusion/Feeling Discontent/Self-Determination/Time To Change

Why Is Life So Hard

I look in the mirror and who do I see,

a social construct looking back at me.

Is this how I want to live my life,

under another’s sacrificial knife?

NO! I choose to be the best I can be,

without the shadow of fear guiding me!

John

(This was written sometime ago, as you'll recognise with references to Aids and Covid.)

Do you feel there is something wrong with this existence? Then perhaps this audio piece from something I wrote a number of years ago will resonate with you. It beggars belief that it is even more appropriate now than it was then.

There is a selection of my art on canvas and other

I have two self-help stories available exclusively on

Amazon, either on the Kindle or paperback, and I do

hope that you find them interesting, thought-

provoking, and, most of all, enjoyable: -

The Rock Philosophy

This simply written short story is aimed at those who

seek to understand themselves, and through

 understanding themselves comes a greater

 understanding of life.

The Life of Jesus

(as witnessed by his brother)

Much has been written about Jesus, and no matter your

view on religion or Christianity, this person, whether he

was as described in the bible or not, has singularly

shaped, to a greater or lesser extent, the lives we lead

today through his wisdom. There are many versions of

the story, but there is only one truth, and is it not

 better to know the truth?

That Feeling of Joy by John/Feeling Good/Feeling Happy/Hope and Inspiration/Gladness

 That Feeling of JOY

I feel a song in my heart,

and music in my mind.

It's such a wonderful feeling

of that very special kind.

The sun is shining bright,

but the light is from within.

I can see it with my inner sight,

and it can never dim.

Creature Comfort by John/Safety/Home/Eco System/No Over Thinking/Contentment/Self=Awareness

Creature Comfort

Below the surface in its lair,

well fed, sheltered and safe,

our little friend thinks

no further than its sleep time.

No worries of tomorrow,

content, with a full belly,

and safe and warm,

what else is needed?

Perhaps a mate,

but not now!

A Life We Can Win by John/Hope/Peace/Yoga/Meditation/Unconditional Love

A Life We Can Win

Great Spirit

Please grant me the courage to face my fears,

and to smile and encourage others, even when I feel like tears.

To find the strength within to lift up those in need,

and to plant within them the everlasting healing seed.

May the light of love never falter or dim,

guiding those who seek, back to a life they can win.

The Great Earth Mother by John/Eco Poem/Nature/Elements/Harmony/Peace/Together

The Great Earth Mother

Air, water, earth, and fire,

natural elements which can inspire.

Grow, swim, fly, crawl or walk tall,

the Earth Mother, provides a home to all.

Yet each second ticks away,

never ever going to stay.

Each with a life of its own,

like a seed waiting to be sown.

On desert ground will they fall,

or fertile soil for harvest tall?

Appreciation of life and each other,

brings an understanding of the great Earth Mother.
