To Be Non-Judgemental

Nobody ever seems to get it right,

but thankfully I have great oversight.

It doesn’t endear me to those I help,

for they often groan and give a yelp!

If only they could see what I see,

that perfection is always lacking to me.

Though to be content is what I truly desire,

not to be consumed by self-righteous fire.

Teeth too big, colour and style of the hair not nice, too fat, too thin, just ugly and so on. It is so easy to criticise others, yet woe betides anyone who chooses to criticise us. Fairness, having an open mind, plain human decency and respect for others cease to exist when we find we can criticise and belittle others with impunity and often without their knowledge. We render other people's opinions valueless because our GODLIKE wisdom and knowledge place us on a make-believe pedestal which is supported by our small-mindedness and ego, belittling all whom we choose to cast down. Inner Glow

It feels like I have a habit of being second best,

another nameless person amongst all the rest.

And yet there are those who appear to have it all,

who seem to climb while others plummet and fall.

In hindsight now I realise the absolute truth,

and it comes with age, seldom with youth.

For those who have a need for show and to be seen,

sometimes hide a troubled spirit that is mean.

On reflection and it is heady stuff, I now clearly see,

I am a real winner, because I know the true me!

I accept that I am not flashy or living for show,

and all I need do is work on improving my inner glow!

Denial

 

Denial

 

What happened to me is beyond belief,

and it has brought me nothing but agonising grief.

I am still stunned and cannot believe it is true,

and it feels like a time I will forever rue.

I find it impossible to accept and progress,

and I am in a perpetual funk and living stress.

Yet I know I must find a way to reclaim MY life,

to be at peace and content, saying goodbye to strife!

So, I relax and meditate now on a regular basis,

what has been a desert in my life, is now my oasis.
