Letting Go

I carry a heavy weight in my mind and heart,

for so long now I cannot even remember the start.

It can affect my mood and how I eat and sleep,

and sometimes I just feel dead on my feet.

This burden is unrelenting in the misery it causes me,

so much so at times my brain feels ‘lost at sea’!

I reach out my hands and cry for heavenly assistance,

“Hear me please, let me live and enjoy my existence!”

The answer is here, I can feel it in my heart and soul,

this meditation will stop those shadows taking their toll!

Haphephobia by John/Fear of Being Touched/Avoiding Physical Contact

Haphephobia (Fear Of Being Touched)

The thought of anyone’s touch,

just affects me way too much.

So much so, I am filled with dread,

and I wish they would hold back instead.

Even after a desire to change through deep reflection,

I accepted I was missing out in genuine affection.

But now I feel an insistent call to action,

and to change my thought process by a fraction.

Then I can be hugged, held and touched as I smile,

knowing that I don’t need to ‘run a mile’!
