Working Through A Mid-Life Crisis by John/Unexpected Change/Feeling Different/Feeling Overwhelmed

 

The Mid-Life Crisis

 

I cannot believe it has happened so soon,

and I feel as if I could howl at the moon.

I think I am in my mid-life crisis with how I feel,

what I held to be true has lost its authentic seal.

It is confusing and my world now feels upside down,

as my face struggles to hide my concerned frown.

I must know what is real and not a shadow of fear,

wonderful peace of mind will then be my friend and dear.

Self Doubt by John/Self-Confidence/Self-Awareness/Courage//Self-Determination/Self-Motivation

 Self-Doubt

 

In life we pass through dark places,

and it is all part of the great test.

It’s not easy when it happens,

sapping energy and Life’s zest!

 

Looking around we see only shadows,

forgetting they are only a lack of light,

something with no substance,

yet I let myself believe nothing is right!

 

It is a law of nature, Day follows Night,

knowing this, I see with newfound sight!

Seeing shadows dispel, no longer under their spell,

now beautiful vibrant colors, it is HOPE, I can tell!

 

Knowing oneself honestly, faults and all,

can help us to grow, and to stand ‘tall’.

No more the need for that inner boxing bout,

as we remove at last the torture of SELF-DOUBT!
