What Do You See?

As mentioned previously I like to play with colours and let them tell their own story on canvas or paper, and I have been doing this for years.  Sometimes, also I'll have an idea of what I want to express then I leave it to the colours to give me their message and often it can be spookily impressive.  I have seen faces, animals, birds etc.. I haven't signed my images on the front because sometimes rotating them gives a completely different view.

My younger sister has inspired me to share some of those images with you and what I am thinking is this, each day I'll show a different image, you may see something, you may even see more than one thing, and under the law of synchronicity you may find something in the image that is relevant to you. The important thing is to relax and absorb the image and then it will show itself in it's fullness to you. Also having a healthy dose of imagination helps.

In any event, please feel free to comment and share if you so desire (PLEASE), there are no right or wrong answers and I hope they bring you as much visual fun as they did me.

Tomorrow I'll share the name I gave today’s piece.

Any of my art shown is available as a digital print for £15.00 ($21.00). Simply leave a comment with your email address and I will contact you.

I have two self-help stories available exclusively on

Amazon, either on the Kindle or paperback,

and I do hope that you find them interesting, thought-

provoking, and, most of all, enjoyable: -

The Rock Philosophy

This simply written short story is aimed at those

Who seek to understand themselves, and through

understanding themselves comes a greater

understanding of life.

The Life of Jesus

(as witnessed by his brother)

Much has been written about Jesus, and no matter your view on religion or Christianity,

this person, whether he was as described in the bible or not, has singularly

shaped, to a greater or lesser extent, the lives we lead

today through his wisdom. There are many versions of

the story, but there is only one truth, and is it not

better to know the truth?

Wealth by John/Abundance/Understanding/Giving and Receiving/Self-Awareness

Wealth

My spirit is happy, warm, content and complete,

which I am sure you know is no mean feat!.

I have learned that physical wealth may come and go,

and also that nothing can dimmish my inner glow.

True wealth is what I carry within my soul,

to use it for gain is not my goal.

It grows in value only when I responsibly share,

and it can only work if I truly care!

The Power of ME by John/Self-Awareness/Inner Power/Strength of Will/Self-Confidence/Determination

The Power of Me

I truly never realized before,

until life became quite sore,

that I have within, this power,

and over my problems I now tower.

I am never arrogant, big-headed, or ‘blue’,

but quietly confident and to myself, TRUE!

I am unique in my talent and skill,

and nothing can my self-belief kill.

Self-Empowerment by John/Self-Awareness/Determination/Independence/Choice/Positive Self-Esteem

Self- Empowerment (Yes and No)

The words that shape our world you know,

is our power to say YES or NO!

We should be careful when we kindly say YES,

for people may want more, not less.

And to be careful when we say NO,

for it may feel to some like a hammer blow.

Of course, the same applies to our personal decisions,

and we must do our best without remission.

The choice really is ours to make,

and not for others to freely take.

Our heart should guide us on our path,

and our brain listens and then does the math!

We each are individuals in our own right,

and others should respect this without a fight.

I am the complete ME, don’t you see!

I seek not another’s burden but just to be free.

To Be Self-Assured by John/Self-Confident/Self-Aware/Intuitive/Calm/Calming

To Be Self-Assured

I naturally wear my warm, confident, smile,

for I know I’ve gone the extra mile.

I have trained me to be the best I can be,

now confident and self-assured, that is me.

I am pragmatic, resilient and intuitive too,

and I am glad to say the new me is never blue!
