Letting Go

I carry a heavy weight in my mind and heart,

for so long now I cannot even remember the start.

It can affect my mood and how I eat and sleep,

and sometimes I just feel dead on my feet.

This burden is unrelenting in the misery it causes me,

so much so at times my brain feels ‘lost at sea’!

I reach out my hands and cry for heavenly assistance,

“Hear me please, let me live and enjoy my existence!”

The answer is here, I can feel it in my heart and soul,

this meditation will stop those shadows taking their toll!

Enmeshment Trauma by John/trapped/feeling like a prisoner/release/freedom/independence

Enmeshment Trauma

It seems my life is set,

for I am caught in a net.

No matter how I tug and pull,

I feel trapped by another’s rule.

Yet if I just relax and still my mind,

then my true self I’ll lovingly find.

This seed of feeling and knowing me,

will then grow into a mighty tree.

With roots firmly planted in the soil,

I naturally grow strong with no toil.

It is like a spectacular magical feat,

to feel so wonderfully complete.

I can now truly become the happy ME,

because I chose to act and set myself free!

Breaking Up

Breaking Up

No matter whose fault, it hurts like hell!

I feel alone, lost and helpless, in misery’s cell.

Where did things start to go wrong? I ask myself,

and does it really matter now? I answer quietly, by stealth.

Sometimes I think I cannot go on with my life,

feeling stabbed through the heart with a very blunt knife!

I know though deep inside that there was life before,

and will be again, then the sun will shine and spirit soar!

Being Mindful and Present

Being Mindful and Present

It is so easy to slip and dwell in the past,

drawing memories out and to make them last.

Or to dwell in a potential future and dream of change,

and then wondering why our lives seem flat and lacking range.

Truly the only real change we can make is in the present, here and now,

like the farmer planting his seeds as he tills the soil with his plough.

No ego, aggression or misplaced confidence to kill the flower,

mindfulness is subtle, humble and filled with loving, compassionate power!

Rejection

My soul aches from unkind words and deeds

and negative structures grow from those seeds.

Why do others not see the good in me,

making me feel like the sailor, lost at sea!

Positive Detachment

Positive Detachment

I have often found I am in an unexpected battle,

and in my surprise, my confidence did rattle.

I shake my head in total disbelief,

for here I am, dragged into another’s grief.

I have been dragged in without conscious thought,

having to bob and weave as this battle is fought.

I know I must keep a clear and calm head,

for this attaching to others leaves me half dead.

I have the opportunity now to deactivate this trigger,

and live a better life which will become joyfully bigger.
