Nobody ever seems to get it right,

but thankfully I have great oversight.

It doesn’t endear me to those I help,

for they often groan and give a yelp!

If only they could see what I see,

that perfection is always lacking to me.

Though to be content is what I truly desire,

With eyes of trust,

they look at me.

I wonder often

who is it they see?

 

Do they know at times,

I am filled with doubt?

So much so that often,

I want to scream and shout!

 

The price to be paid,

to be that special one.

Bears not thinking about,

because I will not cut and run.

 

The reward is in the love,

even if only from a single one.

That loving light, the smile,

that eclipses any sun!

Inner Peace and Harmony by John/Serenity/Understanding/Compassion/Self-Believe/Self-Awareness

 

Inner Peace and Harmony

 

Despite life’s apparent need

to grind and test,

by overwhelming and cowing,

as it tries its best,

to reduce me to a dribbling,

gibbering wreck,

feeling as if my head

will explode from my neck.

My inner peace and harmony 

are scrupulously tested,

but with constant practice, 

they are never bested!

Wouldn't it be nice to say goodbye to being on edge, feeling irritable,

frustrated, stressed and bad-tempered?

When was the last time you had that wonderful feeling of peace?

If we allow external circumstances to 'push our buttons', then it is those

circumstances that control our life. Yet if train ourselves to feel peace,

then we are not only in control of our lives, we then start to influence and

control those external circumstances which were causing us stress before.

This poem captures a moment in life, where sounds, images, senses come together to capture a unique moment in time. On reflection, each moment is unique, for they each have their own individual energy.

Thoughtful

Dark clouds in the sky

gracing the winds on high,

as the sun sinks down

over this peaceful town.

It's Sunday again and the TV's loud and boring,

it sounds just like a motorbike roaring.

The kids are out, playing in the street,

young people, agile, graceful, and fleet.

The circle of life turns, school, work, life, old age

hopefully we’ll gain wisdom and be like a sage!

Onwards we go, never seeing clearly

the mistakes we make sometimes costing us dearly

But on we go as we always must

with a smile, faith, hope, and trust.

When life feels tough and we are at temper’s length,

we dig deep and find love truly is our strength.
