Still by John/Peace/Tranquillity/Serenity/Meditation/Good Mental Health/Self-Awareness/Calming

Still

Still the spirit, still the mind,

feel the stress and tension unwind.

Heal the spirit, heal the mind,

then inner serenity you will find.

Train the spirit, train the mind,

to others and your self be kind.

Release the spirit, release the mind,

so with love, your path is lined.

I have two self-help stories available exclusively on

Amazon, either on the Kindle or paperback, and I do

hope that you find them interesting, thought-

provoking, and, most of all, enjoyable: -

The Rock Philosophy

This simply written short story is aimed at those who

seek to understand themselves, and through

 understanding themselves comes a greater

 understanding of life.

The Life of Jesus

(as witnessed by his brother)

Much has been written about Jesus, and no matter your

view on religion or Christianity, this person, whether he

was as described in the bible or not, has singularly

shaped, to a greater or lesser extent, the lives we lead

today through his wisdom. There are many versions of

the story, but there is only one truth, and is it not

 better to know the truth?

Angels Without Wings by John/Unsung Heroes/Friendly Presence/Unselfish Helpers/Caring/Compassionate

Angels Without Wings

We may pass them in the street completely undetected,

yet they know us, and come when needed, often unexpected.

On the surface they look totally normal, yet different,

for it is through word and deed that they become significant.

It is as if their beings are a wondrous, uplifting song,

and their music lifts us above what is hard and wrong.

Their souls naturally radiate understanding, warmth and love,

and we then know in our hearts we are blessed by heaven above.

The Right To Say No by John/Self-Confidence/Self-Belief/Self-Determination/Courage/Self-Esteem

The Right To Say NO!

I have the right to say NO!

No matter where I am or where I go.

Yet there are some places without doubt

Where I would be better with another route.

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO!

The biggest threat can be fear

Which I overcome by facing trouble near.

What is the point in doing something reckless

Even a victim of robbery can GIVE their necklace.

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO!

Fight only when there is no choice, no other way,

with nowhere to run, only to stay.

Realizing everything that is now at stake,

Thinking this is all a frightful mistake.

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO!

Some may curse, shout and scream

And threaten us in manner mean,

Our inner light is like the rising sun,

In saying NO, we have already won!

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO!

Ruminating by John/Tired Of Holding That Thought?/Free The Mind/Caught in a Thought Cycle

Ruminating

My mind echoes with a constant negative thought,

rendering all positive desire and intent as nought!

I need my mind and thoughts to flow true and free,

so that I can be the happy, positive person I choose to be!

Moonshine by John/Illusion/Imaginary Fears/Shadows of the Mind/Laughter/Healing/Understanding

Moonshine

The bright moon casts its silvery glow,

creating illusive shadows, my imagination, I know.

Yet if I allowed imagination's fear machine to grip,

then I would be helpless at my courage slip.

I laugh out loud at this silly me,

then fear's hand slips and I am free.
