Letting Go

Letting Go

I carry a heavy weight in my mind and heart,

for so long now I cannot even remember the start.

It can affect my mood and how I eat and sleep,

and sometimes I just feel dead on my feet.

This burden is unrelenting in the misery it causes me,

so much so at times my brain feels ‘lost at sea’!

I reach out my hands and cry for heavenly assistance,

“Hear me please, let me live and enjoy my existence!”

The answer is here, I can feel it in my heart and soul,

this meditation will stop those shadows taking their toll!

I have two self-help stories available exclusively on Amazon, either on the Kindle or paperback, and I do hope that you find them interesting, thought-provoking, and, most of all, enjoyable: -

The Rock Philosophy

This simply written short story is aimed at those who seek to understand themselves, and through understanding themselves comes a greater understanding of life.

The Life of Jesus

(as witnessed by his brother)

Much has been written about Jesus, and no matter your view on religion or Christianity, this person, whether he was as described in the bible or not, has singularly shaped, to a greater or lesser extent, the lives we lead today through his wisdom. There are many versions of the story, but there is only one truth, and is it not better to know the truth?

And you will find an excellent read in this story by my son Colin, and it is here.

Bravery

Bravery is

not a lack of fear but the acceptance of it and the overcoming of it.

looking adversity in the face and still being able to smile.

setting aside ego for the greater good.

climbing out of bed to face the day, come what may.

shining the light of truth on our inner demons.

accepting when we are at fault and, where appropriate, owning up to it.

stepping up to help those who cannot do so for themselves.

recognising that no matter our external circumstances, our spirit cannot be broken.

getting on with life despite the pain.

looking at death as the doorway to the next part of our journey.

Harmony

Harmony

The storms of life may come and blow,

but this calming strength I truly know.

At one with life, harmony is within me,

nourishing, like golden honey from a bee.

Manna From Heaven

When times feel uncertain and tough,

and life just feels constantly rough.

“Manna From Heaven” is there for you,

just call for it with a heart that is open and true!

The Amazon

The Amazon

A warrior at heart,

and never slow to start.

For within, she is strong.

and rights many a wrong,

Her spirit becomes as fire,

and her righteous rage is dire.

It is best not to become her foe,

for you will enter a time of heartfelt woe!

The Candle and the Dawn

The Candle and the Dawn

Sometimes the candle, with it is flickering light, is all that is there to guide us through the night. Even when shadows startle us, we know in our hearts, that it is only a matter of time until the dawn starts. John
