Connecting

 

I never feel the need to idly talk,

when I take my solo early morning walk.

The sun is rising, and life is refreshed,

making itself known with renewed zest.

A squirrel darts along the branch of a great tree,

it just knows joy for it is completely free.

The birds worry not about yesterday or tomorrow,

consequently, they have no thought for worry or sorrow.

They puff their chests and share their love in song,

how can we humans get things so terribly wrong?

Heaven could be each day expressing our joyful love for life,

and with no yesterday or tomorrow worries, causing strife.

If we consciously live in the present, knowing only NOW,

and to the great Mystery and Spirit of all, we humbly bow,

then life would then be transformed as we bond together,

in the knowledge that our loving legacy will last forever!
