Let Love be my Guide!

 

Some make remarks that are snide,

yet I let love rule, and it is my guide.

And there are others I can’t abide,

yet I let love rule, and it is my guide.

Also, expectation of others can be a slipper slide,

so, I let love rule, and it is my guide.

Unhealthy expectation of myself is a negative tide,

 so, I let love rule, and it is my guide.

What I cannot change, with patient acceptance I bide,

because I let love rule, and it is my guide.

There are those who hate and would push love aside,

and I thank the Creator that unconditional love is my guide.

Now free of all anger, frustration, emotional pain and false pride,

I truly let love rule, and it is my guide.
