I Can Do Better

 

Can I do better than I have of late,

or shall I wait hopefully until a better date?

Am I burying my head in the sand,

and of life making no demand?

Am I content just to do my time,

until, at last, I reach the end of the line?

Or is it time to come out fighting,

and fix the wrongs that need righting?

I have one life of which I will now make the most,

“I AM the best version of me!” now my humble boast.
