Overcoming Self Pity

 

Self-Pity

 

I seem to be always frowning,

for in self-pity, I am drowning.

And I need to shake this dreadful feeling,

which is my zest for life a-stealing.

If I practice, I know I can smile,

that way I will easily go the extra mile.

I will change my life to warm, positive, well-being,

which will be so immensely uplifting and freeing.
