Learning To Be Assertive
Why do I listen to others with manners and patience,
to have them ignore me with studied ignorance.
The thoughts in my head with energy glisten,
if I formulate them into words, will you listen?
The person who needs to believe in me is ME,
now I understand, and I definitely SEE!
The power of my character to longer hidden,
newfound confidence arrives, unbidden.
I am happy now, smiling, confident and never BLUE,
because I am ME, strong, steadfast and true,

shaped, to a greater or lesser extent, the lives we lead
today through his wisdom. There are many versions of
the story, but there is only one truth, and is it not
better to know the truth?
