True Grit

 

The weight of the world keeps pressing me down,

and I find it harder to turn my frown upside down.

I just don’t know how to make my life any better,

do I have to send to whatever GOD listens, a begging letter?

Then I realise that the solution cannot come from without,

it is only with self-love that I can assuage this destructive doubt.

Determination and newfound hope are now the order of the day,

knowing that I am more than equal to whatever comes my way!
