Changing The Lens

 

Nature’s vibrancy and life fill me with love,

whether it be a mouse, a worm or a snow-white dove.

The sun equally shines on rich and poor,

and that is a certainty of which, I’m sure.

At first thought, life can seem at times mundane,

boring, querulous, and anxious, driving me insane.

Yet, if I pause for thought and see it through,

I know it’s within me to start life anew!

Not by a physical act, like moving or changing my job,

but simply looking, listening and living as I cease to sob!

The true sunshine comes from within,

illuminating and beautifying, a maturity thing.

Now changing the lens on what I have seen,

I know that I can fulfil any dream.

So, no more sitting back; it is time to change,

there is nothing now out of my range.
